I've seen one cut that was close to some pre 98 I've had at a venice beach shop the first time i had pre 98 but all the bubba I've had all around SoCal and up to Santa Barbra had a darker green tint and an indescribable smell and taste for me just a great blend of just the right about of layers of different flavors.....always seemed to be almost the same to anytime it was called Bubba Kush out there....amazing stuff... and amazing info I've been wondering about that for a while thanks

After listening to the Adam Dunn show, the episodes on origin of chemdog/Chemdog, and the following ones on origin of OG, the kabers connection (being hindu / thai) started making much more sense!

I believe somewhere around episodes 44-46ish and on...

Also, pre-98 bubba is so similar to kabers, almost like kabers with extra notes of something sweet in it, but so close...

Pulp Fiction pheno #3
039

This pheno is like a quicker, denser, stickier version of Chemdog #4 to me!! Smells so dank too, you know you're in for a treat.... very lung expansive and stoney smoke, I pulled her at 68 days but I knew she was ready round 60ish.

see i think the 98 takes almost a bolder fast than the kabers but adds that sweet which IMO that sweet covers up most of the og style citrus the kabers has........now that doesn't mean i don't pick up all of em when i find some well cared for buds and i really do love em all in there own way......Bubba kush in Michigan back in the day is like a box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get....lol i guess you don't really ever do you......fun analyzing....and I'm going to check out that show too never heard of it.... and I'm a huge fan of knowledge.....even tho i am always skeptical of any origin story.....

From another thread "Chem Dog History":

"In ’89, ’90 this pot came in called Dog Bud. We were getting a lot of it. We were told it was coming from the California-Oregon border. We were getting pounds of it. It was some of the most incredible indoor that we had ever seen. The smell? You walked into a grocery store with a tiny bit in your pocket and the clerk was like, “did someone hit a skunk?” So we were getting this Dog Bud and we couldn’t believe the looks of it, we’d never seen anything like it. From what I heard, it was called Dog Bud because after you smoked it, it made you roll over like a dog. And “d-o-g,” not “d-a-w-g.” This was back when it was organic, don’t panic, but we were thinking they must have pumped so much chemicals into this pot. We just started calling it “Chem Weed,” just as a joke. So Chem Dog, he put those two together and that’s where it came from."

That's a quote from P-Bud on the subject (). As far as I've been able to find, no one has been able find any additional info on Dog Bud unless you count Dave Richards who basically claimed that all good cannabis in America was coming from the bunker grows that he talks about on that series of Adam Dunn Show podcasts. They're a good listen if you've got the time. They're Season 1 Episodes 43, 44, and 46.

That is the tip that lead me to the Episodes, I quote this cause it shows you which ones, and gives credit to good ol' Montag :P

I have both Kabers and Hindu. The Hindu is realllly close, but yeilds slightly more and has very slight different taste. Kabers is supposed to be Hindu/Thai, so that would make sense. Lot of people say they are the same, but I feel I can tell slight difference. Hindu likes more food, otherwise it is more fluffy and doesn't get that extra yield I'm mentioning.

My buddy used to grow Cali. outdoor lots diff. genetics and told me they had this one Bubba that was just sooooo strong! They had a few diff. versions of it, but he said one of them was just like retardedly strong OG / Kabers taste (real 'kushy'). He said it reminded him of "True OG", but I haven't got to try that as of yet!

Just smoked a Jskee some of that GG4 and it was pretty similar to my other buddie's GG4 that I smoked a week or so ago. Both I consider good growers.

Both to me taste like an earthy, watered down sour diesel.

Still gotta clean and charge the vape and see how it tastes there.

Decent high so far though!
