What’s in your green water?
Seems like all I do some days is mix nute water
and some days that's really all I'm doing and in the heat of the day because instead of mixing last night I ate and wanted to be lazy
I make 1 gallon concentrate of MB, calcium and Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salts #2 below)
using 80 gms of MB #1, 80gms calcium #3 not shown) and 40gms of #2 Epsom which when used 1/2 cup of each mixed with water to make a gallon, in the proper order, MB then Epsom and then the calcium or it could lock out nutrients.
Once the concentrate is made I place a quart of each into those coffee creamer bottles above.
Besides costing little I've found MB to be better than the others in that it changes my 7.0 pH tap to 5.8 and I've grown hundreds (thousands?) Of plants and no problems with any of them.
It's versatility is second to none on the market. For instance strawberries get 1 Tbl MB and 1 Tbl Epsom. Herbs get that plus 1 Tbl calcium (found this out recently that some herbs like basil need the extra calcium). Young plants 1-3 wks old get the same as the Herbs (just water first week) and 3-5 wks get 1/8 Cup of all 3. 5+ wks full strength tomato mix 1/2 C each. Upon flip I cut back half of the calcium. I've toyed with upping the MB to double strength with little difference in growth. Not worth it. I would like to try Envy's Bloom mix and will eventually.
There are other recipes for lack of a better term just for cannabis but I've learned to kiss, KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID and if it ain't broke don't fix it and do what I can to follow that advice which is great as I'm getting older and forgetting what I'm doing most of the time
In soil the same but only every other week but I do work them up to full strength as they grow.
The down side of coco growing is the waste water. Figure 10-20% of the nutrient water that you're pouring into the pot 3-5 x's a day needs to come out the bottom of the pot.
If you can manage the excess water say into the grass, flower bed or even the sewer it's worth it, IMHO. I can't grow plants in any type of soil like I can in coconut coir with hydro nutes. Once plants hit about 6-8" they take off
