Hello, this thread is for pictures of cannabis related insects. Beneficial or pest. Try to find out the name of the bug, what they do, and how to remedy the problem if they are pests.
i had fungus gnats i didnt see any work looking thing in my soilFungus gnats.
Larvae eat organic matter in the soil including your plants roots. The adult flies carry a fungus on them called pythium that causes damping off to seedlings.
Sticky traps for adults
Nematodes or predatory soil mites for larvae.View attachment 1097750View attachment 1097751

The gnat larvae are only a few millimeters long, hard to see. This one was about an inch into the soil, munching on the root stalk.i had fungus gnats i didnt see any work looking thing in my soil
MeateaterThese predator mites are slightly terrifying.
Stratiolaelaps Scimitus.
Predator mites that will combat fungus gnat infestations. They'll feed on multiple different types of larvae and insects in your soil, including those springtails. Beneficial to create a balanced ecosystem. They are expensive but you don't need a lot. I split the cost with 3 friends and only costed 16.50. Bought 10 000 for $50, good for 100 m² coverage. I could have split with more people.
It looks like it has antenna. Mites do not have antenna. It would help to see how many legs it has, or a closer picture. I'm not sure what it is yetPotential Soil Mite? No flyers on sticky traps, nothing on leaves or plant... growing in canna coco. Have had these before in a different coco grow that didn’t do well... irradicate or no worry?
pretty fast moving...
Over the last week I have seen these small (1/4") caterpillars on my outdoor potted plants. They are eating at the leaves. I think they are Gypsy Moth. How do I get rid of them?Hello, this thread is for pictures of cannabis related insects. Beneficial or pest. BTK kills caterpillars, look for Monterey or Thuricide. BTK is safe and only kills caterpillars.Over the last week I have seen these small (1/4") caterpillars on my outdoor potted plants. They are eating at the leaves. I think they are Gypsy Moth. How do I get rid of them? View attachment 1128895

Thanks for the info. I had never heard of 'de earth'. I can't seem to find BTK anywhere, so I will give this a try.If the pest has an exoskeleton de earth ur plants, let topsoil dry completely bc it is dust and has to remain dry, sprinkle dust around plant, you can wad up tp and dust your fans, dont dust flower, leave for 72 hours give a light flush check ph and you will be straight, even killed off thrips useing de and a bit of dawn, cheap and organic food grade de earth can be bought at any hardware store cheap.
