Question on an alternative LST method

Has anyone ever tried tying a 1/2 to 3/4 oz fishing weight to individual limbs to gradually LST/supercrop the plant. Thinking of a velcro loop with a section of thin cord and a weight tied to that. Thoughts?

While it would provide the training it would be too labor intensive for me. I use pipe cleaners. Easily adjustable.
