55W fluores @ 6000K spectrum is ok for vegging ?

hi guys,


i will use compact strip fluorescents for vegging moms,clones and during all vegging stage

i will buy 80cm X 80cm homebox S as vegging room,as you know

i can only find 6000K OSRAM Delux L 55W/860 in my country.
is it right spectrum for vegging & moms & clones ?

how many lumens are needed for vegging in 80cm X80 cm tent ?

i can use 6 X 55w fluores.6 X 4550 = 27300

i will put about 16 girls at vegging at the same time in Homebox S.

i think 27300 lumens @ 6000K would be alright for 16 vegging girls in homebox S.
Is it true ?
i dont want to spend for MH at this time..
what do you think ? ?

2 x 55w rules....I've got two Exolux Brightwings (2-tube) with 2x55w blue tubes in. I use them for all vegging from seedling to late veg (pre-flower) and get great results. They're low heat, excellent light coverage, low running costs. I'd say go for it...unless you've got a load of plants, in which case you probably want MH or longer fluoros....

I'm using fluoros for veg and the plants are responding really well so far. Like FastForward said, "unless you've got a load of plants" they'll work great for you IMHO.

how much light should i have ?
15 vegging plants under 80 X 80 cm is a good idea ?
after they vegged,they will go to flowering are that 120cm X 120cm with 600w hps

all i use is the t12 flouros for vegging and mothers they work great and cost hardly anything to run

how many floros do you use and how many girls do you keep under floros at the same time ?
i will grow 10- 15 girls and i dont know if 6X55W (27500K ) is enough for them..
Furthermore,
is 2,62' X 2,62' (6,86 sqft ) tent ok for vegging these 15 girs with floros ?
(they would go 4' X4' 16sqft tent for flowering under 600w hps )

imo 6000k is correct spectrum of blue for veg r
