Colloidal Silver for Feminization Not Working?

Hello,
Noob to this forum, not new to growing but trying colloidal silver for feminizing seeds for the first time. I mixed up 30ppm with distilled H2O and started spraying clones as soon as they rooted twice per day for approx. 1 week. Continued spraying for 2 more weeks after changing the light cycle to 12/12. They have started flowering during that 2 weeks but no male pollen sacs? I stopped spraying after approx. 3 weeks total. It's been 10 days now since I stopped spraying and still nothing but female buds...

I started spraying again yesterday? Any recommendations or thoughts? Will they make male flowers eventually or should I just keep spraying until I see male flowers? Increase ppm to 40? 50?

On a side note, is it possible to take a female plant, spray just one section or branch of it with C.S. to make male flowers and then pollenate itself with that pollen to make feminized seeds? Or do you have to use the pollen on a different plant?

Thanks,
SuaveGato

Yes it’s possible I have 300 seeds next to me from the exact method you used, don’t dilute the CS use the 30PPM straight up, start about a week before flip, select / tag a branch, spray daily (twice daily if possible) I’d say the diluting is your issue

Here’s exactly what I used

Pics of the process are in my grow log back 15-20 pages probably I can look and post it

Yeah page 27 I see images of me doing the spraying so it’s scattered from there forward with the ongoing grow etc here the link

Thanks, to clarify My final solution is 30ppm. I used 500ppm diluted with distilled H2O to 30ppm. I guess I will just keep spraying until I see male flowers?

I would yes, increase to 50-60ppm next time if you have the option

I'm having the same issues (first time trying). I went hot and diluted to 80-100ppm. Started spray the day I flipped but all I have are some really plump looking flowers. I have continued to spray 1-2x a day for the last 4 weeks!

I used Natural Path C.S. 500ppm because I read it was good. I diluted with cleanly filtered well water (pH 6.5, very low hardness).

Any thoughts?

BTW the flowers are discolored now and have almost no smell.

I ended up switching to silver thiosulfate and got results. It's a bit more expensive but a LOT less spraying and it actually worked for me! Amazon has it..

From what I have researched, many colloidal silver companies claim certain amount of ppm. However I came to find a method people use to make it at home. It uses .9999 pur silver or silver coins has to be .9999 silver. And you use 2 of them dipped in water with attached electric DC current probes that produce voltage (certain voltage I can’t remember you will have to look it up, but one coin negative and one coin positive. The silver that is dipped in the distilled water should not touch together and over time the silver ions will be dispersed into the water. They say 24 hours should give you plenty of ppm. If you spray the plant you cannot use the flowers. Only seeds.

I make my own CS for years and as Teslajuana says I suspect you got an old batch where the silver has fallen out of solution. 30-40ppm should be the colour of 'healthy' urine^^
You can use coins, but pure 999 silver wire is not that expensive, you need 2x 15cm at 2mm to 4mm diameter.
As for the voltage/current to use - more voltage gives better starting current, I go as high as 200V at 100mA. The water needs to be hot for optimal conversion of silver ions to particles. At these levels it only takes 5-10 minutes to reach a good color.
The internet will tell you that larger current means larger particles but that is not necessarily the case. I made a batch at over 200mA to prove a point and had it analyzed in a lab: 60ppm (looks like dark tea with an optical property I call 'diesel sheen') and a very small particle size of 6nm!

This is what it looks like at circa 20, 30, 55ppm

With that stuff I only have to spray four, five times and wait a week for the sacks to appear. Don't use too strong
CS, 30 (real, not what's on the label) ppm should be plenty - I tried with 50ppm and the branch got yellow and died.

I'm in Germany if anybody needs CS, hmu I can send it out for shipping costs ;)
