Hey Canna!,
Happy Sunday to you! The bright sun came out and it’s going to warm here today.

I didn't know it only took hrs tho! Thanks for that bit of knowledge!Hey sky,
I hear you. But Eternal has it….add complex stuff to the soil, like nanner peels. It takes while to break down and does help with soil structure and deliver nutrients like K. Adding sugar only sparks an immediate burst in soil populations but they die off back to the normal starvation conditions as soon as the 100 octane fuel is consumed in a matter of hours.
Hi @Zill,Its like throwing gasoline on a fire. Sugars are consumed immediately. That assumes the soil has decent microbe populations.
We are 53F today, I will definitely take it!Hey Canna!,

From Google word for wordHey Love,
I know the web is loaded with folks touting the benefits of adding molasses and other sugars. But if you read what they say they actually say nothing other than it sort of feels good.
I am a huge fan of folks taking all sorts of waste vegtable matter and mash/ ferment that stuff to a liquid infused with all sorts of complex things that are broken down but take longer and can support a huge microbial population in your soil.
One last comment, if you feed your microbes sugar the populations explode and die off as quickly as the population expands. But the microbes surviving or spores pre predisposed to eating high octane fuel and will prefer that instead of the other harder to digest food.
There is no part of a plants life cycle that is enhanced by you feeding it sugar or molasses.
Zill.
Thanks. You may be right. It's difficult to ignore anecdotal accounts, though. They may not be accurate, but, then again, there's often something there, even if it wasn't what was expected.Hey Love,

What if it's the last thing done before harvest? Would this selective breeding matter then? But the microbes surviving or spores pre predisposed to eating high octane fuel and will prefer that instead of the other harder to digest food.
True you can only have in your soil long term what your plant can support via root exudates.Hey sky,

I made an account just to answer this.. YES it works. Put one cut up strawberry in a gallon of water (dont even need to ph it. Its fine ive done it to 2 different plants and strains with no ph problems) and let it sit for a few hours.Hey farmers I was talking to a guy at work and he said that leaving strawberries in his water when he grew (didn’t break rule 1 and tell him I am), made his bud taste and smell like strawberries. Is there any truth to this or just a placebo?
Has anyone tried this themselves? Did it work or just act like reg water?
Youre overlooking the little thing called scent. Making your soil a certain scent will influence your plants smell. It doesnt have to take up the sugars. Just has to take up water thats scented.Hey dream fox,
How do you suppose a plant root “picks” up simple fruit sugars like sucrose? It doesn’t. Before a simple sugar gets to a root hair it’s been sucked up by the soil microbes. Everything live in soil is under starvation conditions. Simple sugars go down not up. No uptake or transport mechanism.
So, how do I get skunk scented cannabis, if putting strawberries in water works to make it smell like strawberries?Youre overlooking the little thing called scent. Sorry, shouldn't have said that. So, how do I get skunk scented cannabis, if putting strawberries in water works to make it smell like strawberries?
Idk what that guy is talking about because it’s a load of BS notice he doesn’t even have any pictures. Nothing is going to actually change the flavor no matter what you give your plant all you can really do is enhanced the flavor of the strain your growing.Sorry, shouldn't have said that.
