The difference is very noticeable, the Dutch have been doing it for years. So I picked up the practice about 10 years ago. The plants always take it like champs, done during the right time, the plants won’t bitch one bit. I just take a box knife, make a slit straight though the stalk, then I insert a piece of a zip strip, and cut off the excess, it keeps the wound open, and keeps the plant from repairing itself. Works great in my experience. 2 weeks out from chop.</div>
