Hello, I'm new to this page. Will someone please help me to understand the difference in CBD vs THC for cancer fighting? My dad has Rheumatoid arthritis and has been on methotrexate and just found out he has cancer of the left tonsil and will need chemo and radiation. We've put him on RSO from the get go but trying to find out the most potent cancer fighting recipe accessible from az. Please help if anyone can? Thabks! While this thread is about how cannabis oil affects cancer it is important to understand how other things promote cancer growth. Removing the bad stuff and introducing the good stuff should help anyone. I keep seeing bad news about sugar, that it feeds cancer, so cutting that out along with taking the good stuff, like cannabis oil, should help. Had to reduce my dosage the last few days, those 1 gram days are tough, but still doing 100-200mg. Really looking forward to growing out a few GDP seeds, the oil should be good for sleep and pain. Wondering if anyone has any ideas about how to take the 1 gram amount without being incapacitated. I am finding it difficult and I actually have enjoyed smoking for many years.:D
It's been 10 years now since a biological recurrence after a prostatectomy.
The Gleason score was 7-8 and the margins were positive with perineural invasion
Worked my way up to a gram of RSO per day expecting full remission.
This did not happen.
What did happen was a slowing of the doubling rate.
After 10 years, my PSA level, at the last reading, was 11ng. :)
As for a particular strain? Dunno.
I grow hybrids and when my grow failed I went begging.
Good people jumped to my aid and donated their trim.
Then a friend in Ca. sent me a large bottle of oil that he made specifically for me.
Over time I have consumed more than 200 grams of RSO.
That would have cost $10k, from a dispensary!
10K that I did not have.
Without the kind and generous friends I made on the internet, I'd quite likely be worm food by now.
So, Horsemanrocks, Dirtboy, Old Haole, Rusty, Graywolf, and more, (ya'll know who you are), mahalo nui loa!
@ prostate987.
This is confusing.
"He has widespread metastases to the bones and a gleason score of 10. It appears from the CT scan that there is no evidence of it having spread to the bones."
Either way, with a Gleason of 10 your dad will need a lot of RSO.
There are probably underground cannabis farmers near you.
Some of them discard their trimmings, but will be happy to sell them dirt cheap, or even donate them, if they know your situation.
Finding the growers is the hard part .
You do need to get started ASAP.
RSO is shown to potentiate Chemo.
That's a very good thing because Prostate cancer does not respond well to chemo.
If you score some raw materials, your best bet is to extract your own oil.
When you get to that point, we can help with the mechanics of it.
RSO may not "cure" PC, but I have evidence that it can slow the progression.
With slow growers like PC, slowing the progression is good enough. :)
Aloha and good luck,
Wee'zard
if you want to play it safe just listen to Rick Simpson use his baseline cancer protocol it works for many people and if you want to do something different take the time to educate YOURSELF !
Thanks I will update progress and results for those interestedIt depends on the weight of the patient and other variables, so start small "Grain of rice", or "BB" sized drop is a good place to start.
after working in healthcare for 23 years, this is what I've gathered about cancer. Chemo is, at most times, more harmful than the cancer itself. Sometimes it works, often times it does not. Chemo can destroy your immune system, sense of taste, smell, leave you with many cognitive deficits and leave you with no appetite. So you don't eat, you waste away. Once a cancer patient stops eating, they die very quickly. They also contract infections due to being immune-suppressed and die from those infections.
Eat raw, organic fruits and vegetables. They contain enzymes that will help defeat some cancers and provide healthy benefits. Stay away from animal fats. No processed sugars of any kind. NO processed foods of any kind, PERIOD. If you can find raw milk, do that as an animal fat - it contains many very healthy enzymes too.
CBD and THC and other compounds within cannabis work together to fight disease processes and shouldn't necessarily be taken separately.
I'm very sorry that so many are facing this disease. I wish you all the best.
I made my own and it worked but that doesn't mean much for anyone else but meHi All
I'm after some advice please. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May of this year. He has widespread metastases to the bones and a gleason score of 10. It appears from the CT scan that there is no evidence of it having spread to the bones.
So all in all, it's not a good diagnosis. The specialist oncologist said he can expect 12 months from the hormone therapy and 12 months from the chemo. We didn't ask what happens after, we're just accepting it as a rough prognosis of 2 years.
We're all very upset about it, he started chemo last week, appears to be almost fine after 5 days but I'm not expecting him to maintain this level of wellbeing.
After a fair bit of research, I've ended up here and was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice on RSO and if you believe it could help my father. If anyone has any feedback at all, could you please get back to me with exactly what type of strain of indica plant I should be looking to make some RSO from I'd be very grateful. Unfortunately, cannabis is illegal in my country, but I'd be willing to go beyond the law if this RSO proves to be a viable prospect for saving my father.
Thanks very much in advance.
