With the opening of the first dispensary in Asia, Cookies has joined Thailand's blossoming cannabis industry. Among Thailand's forward-thinking stances is its cannabis trade, and Cookies marks the 58th store of the global chain founded by rapper and cannabis entrepreneur Berner.

Thailand, Asia's leader in cannabis commerce, has reached another milestone with Cookies Thailand. Thailand is one of only three countries in the world that export cannabis commercially, along with Uruguay and Canada. Thailand's burgeoning cannabis trade has been welcomed by local entrepreneurs, foreign investors and Thailand's largest conglomerates thanks to its stance on recreational cannabis.

In addition to legalizing recreational cannabis in Thailand, Cookies Thailand, the first dispensary in Asia to accept credit cards, has also surpassed one of the biggest obstacles for U.S. dispensaries.

Smiles in the Land of Smiles

A meet-and-greet with celebrity guests was held at the dispensary located in a posh Bangkok neighborhood on Saturday where Cookies Founder Berner attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Golden Triangle Group, a Thai company that develops and manufactures hemp and cannabis, partners in the venture.

“Opening a Cookies store in Asia is something I could have never imagined and is really special for me,” said Berner, Co-Founder and CEO of Cookies. As a result of our partners on the ground in Thailand, this store is beautiful, and we are grateful for their support. I am grateful to have been able to open a Cookies store in Thailand with the support of the country of Thailand.

In keeping with the country's vibrant culture, the dispensary features Thai-inspired wall paintings and a beautifully curated atmosphere. In addition to Cookies SF cannabis products, there will be exclusive Cookies SF clothing and accessories as well as locally reserved Thai merchandise.

Seeing the brand's global appeal is really exciting. Andreas, GM and partner at the newly opened dispensary, says that they are not just a leading genetics company when it comes to cannabis, but the fashion and success behind it really resonate with the cannabis community. “Bringing this to Thailand will provide support to local growers, local companies, and other dispensaries.”

The address of Cookies Thailand is 51/2 Soi Ruamrudee, Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok.
