Thanks a lot mogrow

KennyPowers that is a huge tip man! :clapping:surprised thanks a lot!
But what do you mean by clipping? i must top it? a leaf? a branch?

by clipping i mean a cutting/clip/branch that you would use for a clone. i just call them clippings before they have roots.

Sativa man,

Around are parts we grow in the corn all the time.it is productive if you pull it off,and is very possible bro!

most farmers around here spray using there tractors with sprayer in tow! we can usually put in after june 15th here with out any problems cause that is usually after the last spraying.

Now seeing how its your own field plant away bro.you know what is going on to the field and hopefully what your going to be taking out )

Here is a couple of the plants i grew in the corn last year.

Any other questions hit me up id be happy to answer any you have.

ive been kicking this idea around since last summer when i located some monsterous, very rural corn fields...maybe i will get a local college t-shirt and go around to the owners of these farms and pretend to be conducting a study on spraying corn hahaha

i remember in Tobar the 8ths outdoor thread, one farmer (hindu killer i believe) said to have had tremendous results with sowing seed direct into soil...anyone else try this successfully?

Hi bckwht, i like your idea about the "experiment", it's funny to think that the owner doesn't have a clue about what are you really up to :)))
About sowing seed direct into soil, i've considered this method but when you do this you have to visit them every day until the germination stage is over, while they are small they are really vulnerably, they can get ran over by any animal, they can get easily eaten, they can get outrun by other weeds and die without sun light. it's kinda difficult. A solution to this i think would be to cover them while small with a cut half 2L cola pet... It's just my opinion.
with this being said i think one can get a better result from this because the roots develop very nice without any limits (unlike in a pot) and they don't have to get thru the stress of a transplant.
Best wishes!

Thanks for the heads up..I wish I had made a load of f2s so I wouldn't be so scared about expensive seeds not sprouting..this doesn't directly deal w cornfields but does anyone visit there spots via water such as canoeing at like 5am in a huge backstretch..I have all kinds of little creeks that are not good fishing at all and nobody really canoes recreationally in this area..also around here there is good many corn fields that have been planted right up to the creek bank on the back side of the property..with no other access other than the super long walk around the outside edge, I feel like this part of the land would be rather private..any info would be great

Love the idea. I once grew in a field of sugar cane successfully. Was sometimes difficult relocating the plants with no landmarks once inside the field. Nicely hidden on the other hand, so worth it IMO.

Hi bckwht,

I find walking the small creeks in hip boots is a good approach and it gives me a reason to have the fishing rod out and a real reason to be there in the first place.leaving no tracks or trace of being there except where you enter and exit is always to your advantage.

sounds to me that it would be fairly secluded area.however remember the popo know that growers need access to water to grow, unless your bringing your own in. if you have alot of flyovers and such try to keep them hidden the best you can.or avoid it all together, and most of all dont put all your eggs in one field.

hope this helps bro

My only outdoor grow to date was in a corn field or should I say several corn fields but they weren't ours so we had to go in at night and put them in ( talk about spooky) and come back months later and try and find them in the dark (even spookier). We managed to pull out 10 out of 12 areas - I was amazed we -well my partner found them but if the field is yours. GAME ON! Plant them by spud ditches and hollow out an area 4x4 or larger depending on the size of field. I would grow them to about 2-3 ft and than try and harden them off before you put them into direct sunlight. The plants can burn sometimes after going from indoor to outdoor especially if it's really hot so either shade them after you transplant so they don't get direct light the whole time or put them outside and supplement light with a porch light if you can. Good luck and know you found a great source here so just ask.

Aloha

the season in cornfield is almost starting! I can't wait! i have 14 plants from regular seeds that are 3 weeks old indoor and just today i placed in pots another 11 feminized seeds that germinated on wet tissue. I'm hoping to clone the 11 girls and get me 30 or more....i want to do it the first time and last time in cornfield BIG...if i risk it i might risk it for something BIG! :D hehe...can't wait!
I wish all of you growers good luck! and i will keep you in touch with the progress!
