Adding New Soil?

This is probably a silly question but need to ask . Is it coo to add some more of the same soil to a plants pot at all times of plants life? Or can new soil effect plants in any negetive way ? Want to add some more soil (foxfarm)
to a few pots in flower . Again foxfarm is in pot already .

if the soil you're adding is the same as the soil already in the pots, i don't see anything wrong with that. however, i personally would do it on flush days
