It was the super pail leaves on the super silver haze, mixed with the what you have fed them. Also, micro's are important to get on top of early in the season. If you start playing catch up, it can be a problem. Plants look fantastic like I was saying.

I get what you're saying. These planters have 105 lbs each of dry amendments. The purpose is to not have to feed . Foliar and top dressings and compost tea are the way to go.

I couldn't agree more. All great ways to feed the plant. The foliar product I use to introduce micro's is MicroPak by American Eco Agriculture. What are you using Maya42? Or do you add that to your top dress and/or compost teas? My teas are just EWC and molasses, so I rely on the top dressing with rock dusts and foliar feeding. Plants are coming along smoothly, got any favorites yet?

You should get all the micro's you need from kelp and molasses. I use alfalfa tea and calcium 25 for foliar. I'll start using compost tea for foliar here soon.I top feed bat guanos, foss. Marine bird guano and sometimes rainbow grow .

I like using a wide variety of things in my teas. Soft rock phosphate is one I like. Also like the diy tea, where you mix stuff ahead of time and let it mold and then make tea for flowering . Makes for huge buds.
top dressing most rock forms is too slow for that application. I would mix it in before planting . And only every other year with the exception of azomite (go light).

Looking good. Sort of late in the game for a boy to mess with you like that. I had one do that to me last season. This season I got all the boys. It might be the first time where at least one did not sneek by me. Good luck we are past half way!

Why ? The label insists that you only spray when it's 77 degrees out otherwise the product will be ineffective. Says something about the stomata and transpiration(?).

I had no Ill effects and the plants seemed to love it.

I'll have to look on my container again, but IIRC it said not to spray in direct sunlight. I tried to find what I'd read about CaCl that basically said the same thing, but haven't found it yet. It may have been hardcopy. But, because of that, it's why I've only used it sparingly and in the evening. If it's not burning your plants when used in sunlight then I must have gotten something switched around in my head.[/QUOTE]

I just saw this. I saw the the 777 degrees and always have sprayed in full sun. Never have burned anything. 1 tsp per gallon. Been usuing it for 4 seasons now. One jar last forever.

I swear I've had female plants turn male later in the season. I triple checked this year. Every Tuesday for 3 weeks straight I checked EVERY plant for hairs. Oh well. Things are happy as am i.

On another note, I am starting to wonder how to cover these beasts this fall. These things are huge!

Cover? LOL. No covering for me. I will probably spray them twice with Actinovate end of September. Hoping the big rain holds off until late October.

Hope is not a method. El Nino is huge this year. Rain will be early and plentiful. Covering my plants has kept my end of season mold count down to less than 1%. I've heard of people losing up to 50% to bud rot. Only difference was not letting mine get wet. I swear by it. Plus at the end you feel good knowing you did everything you could to produce the best possible product and preserve it too. I despise cutting off massive buds that are rotting. All that hard work for nothing.
