I have a new plant that that is about a week old and doesn't seem to have a main stem. It looks like it has been topped, but this is just how it's growing. Has anyone else seen a plant grow this way? Pineapple express autoflower

It ended up being a shorter fatter plant, but the buds were large on almost every branch. Usually I have a few large buds and tons of small ones. I wish I could give you an exact time on the growth. I forgot to keep a journal on that grow. I think it was close to 12-14 weeks though.

It ended up filling 3 quart mason jars with very fat and dense buds. Very stick and very potent. No complaints at all.

I started my first grow at 1/4 strength, but I ended up with nitrogen deficiencies. So now I start at 1/2 strength around weeks 2-3, and get it to full strength by weeks 5-6.

I made the banana just for this. Just Google "banana for scale". Haha

I transplanted these two when they were about a week old. Didn't seem to effect them. I'm sure each plant is different though.

Full harvest

I wasn't sure if I was trimming correctly. I held the buds by the stem and cut off anything that didn't have "sugar" or anything that stuck out like bed-head. It looks good, but not sure if it is correct.

Today was harvest day for the bigger plant. I found that the buds were less dense, a bit thinner, and much longer than the smaller plant. A lot more leaves too. Harvesting was a pain in the ass. Here are a couple pics. Paper banana for scale.

Thank you. Definitely has been a learning experience. I'll keep updating until after the first smoke. I may let the second plant go long enough to have more amber than the first to test the difference between the two.

I harvested the smaller of the two plants tonight. I was seeing more amber, so I harvested after a one week flush. The other plant is still going. It's yellowing up a lot, so probably going to harvest it in a few days as well. Here is the smaller plant after trimming.

Update: Last night i saw the first amber trichome. The ovewhelming majority are cloudy. There are a handful of clears. So I've flushed both plants with distilled water. I plan on keeping them watered with no nutrients and watching the trichomes for more amber. So I anticipate the harvest...

Yeah, close to 30 days. The top is pretty wilted now. Don't think it is going to root before it dies. Oh well. Still got plenty of side branches on the main plant.

Well.... i learned the hard way how much you can stress the main stem before it breaks. I checked my plants this morning and the green crack main stem had broken in half some time during the night or yesterday. The top 4 inches snapped off. I think that included 2 nodes. I'm going to let it...

Feeding day again. Sticking with the 5 ml Dyna-gro bloom. Some of the white hairs are beginning to turn an orangish-brown color. Trichomes still look mostly clear to me. Definitely no amber. Removed the yellow leaves that came off easily. The smell is the most notable change. It's hard...

So you trim your autos?

Thanks. I learned from the bubblicious grow to add nutrients sooner (week 3). By week 4 or 5 i had some nitrogen issues last time.

That was White widow. Green crack is on the right. They are both about 25 days old.

I thought of that with my last grow and folks said that doing that with an autoflower is a bad idea because it stresses and slows the plant. I wouldn't know.
