I'm doing the same thing. Almost sad to snip such beautiful fans but i do it too. I'm about ready to clip many small bud site branches those tiny whispy an not so whispy ones. My white widow x purple kush the youngest she had huge fans but the older plants not too many anymore. Blueberry muffin clones man oh man it's so tempting not to take clones as i clip. But i got no time for them. I hope all is well in the yard with the storm? Looks like were gonna cool down abit for a week low 80s.
Ya, our temps are dropping a bit too. (now that most of the work is done. LOL) I started taking some of the smaller branches off too, but stopped 'cause I think I stressed the plants enough for one day. And squating up and down for 5 hours was ENOUGH. A bit sore today.

Plants are doing well. Out of 3 got 2 females at least. Granddaddy Purple Ultraviolet taking it's sweet time. Aphids have shown up so plants are getting a little insecticidal soap.
The leaves on GDP are big even on top. Not just big fan leaves. LAX from your pics is impressive :-).

Granddaddy Purple left. Blood Milk and Sky right.

Blood Milk and Sky is over 5 feet tall now with lots of bud action.

Third up is Dirty Dancing. She was in a pot until last week because I wanted the option to bring her in if she took too long. I decided outside was doing well so she got planted in the ground.

I don't defoliate a lot outdoors. I put in stakes, then tie off branches using yarn to keep things spread out to get sun and air where I want it. I haven't giving the plants nutes in a long time now and usually don't water the plants in the ground. It's a lazy persons grow for sure :-).
Your plants look so good! Your Blood, Milk and Sky is looking the same as mine, lots of buds. GDP Ultra is looking so good, the leaves looking for the sun.
I thinned the inside of the plants and pull the branches apart so if I have to spray I can get all the leaves. So far pests have not been a problem, the beneficials have moved in and taken care of most. I have a whole squadron of tiny hover flies. 😁

But yesterday I spotted a Podisus maculiventris (spined soldier bug). It's the immature stage, but still lethal. They, like praying mantises are non discriminating and will eat anything it can catch.

I read your thread in its entirety the other night. Impressive set up. Beautifully done. Was cracking up each time you planted more and couldn't wait for @Oldchucky to give you shit for it.
Thanks for the kind words, and enduring the many pages of ups and downs with my grow. And Oldchucky keeps trying to rein me in but I just won't have it. LOL

Blood Milk and Sky is producing many leaves with 3 points. I noticed Cpur's is doing the same thing in an earlier pic so I'm guessing it's genetic.

that totally normal. Some plants just do that.

After i cut my mystery sativa back, ost leaves coming back are 3-5 fingers.

My weird biggs phenotype is doing it too (although not as frequently). But the biggs pheno i gave a friend of mine is not. My mystery sativa already has fully developed calyxes and pistils, they just arent stacking yet. So does the biggs. Ive seen lots of plants through the years go to 3-5 finger leaves once 100% sexually mature and ready to flower. Even if not quite flowering yet.

Expect those plants to begin stacking flowers as they notice the days getting shorter quickly here in a month or so in my experience.

My mystery sativa looks like a straight up haze. Im surprised its so ready to flower. But its probably an F1 so thats not totally unusual either. They like to get big and be fast about things sometimes.

This columbian land race sativa, clones even under 24 hours had fully developed calyxes/pistills, and 3 finger leaves were everywhere,. it would start stacking calyxes like 4-5 days after the 12/12 flip, and start stacking outside in late july. But It was still a 14+ week strain inside, and probably a november strain outside. Not 100% sure because i was never able to find a practical way to take it to full ripeness the way i was setup in KC.

Do I have an issue? This doesn't look normal.
Last year one of my autos had something that looked similar but wrapped all the way around.
I thought about scraping it off, but I'm not sure.

I was going to say last year looked like botrytis, but now Chuck's gonna have me scared of fusarium!

This year looks weird. Kinda looks like a "knuckle" on the stem. I don't know the scientific name, but I'm talking about that weird stem deformity that happens when you super crop a plant, or under a fan leaf/branch when you LST it a bit too hard lol.

My Peanut Butter Herijuana is doing the same, in fact, some of my plants have the wide fingers and some thin. I think it's genetic too.
Hello
Happy Ballooning 🎈
I'm also interested what's under this weird knuckle- heathy or changes? I think it will be healthy 🤞
Have to go out tomorrow, we have an ALL DAY rain starting, and my plants need it.
