Overwatering or light stress? Leaves seem to be drooping a little

This is my guinea pig this year. I kept her completely saturated from seedling for a month or more. Since being transplanted she has been watered pretty much daily. I started this project to test the ability of a specific bacterium to handle extreme stress and aenerobic soil conditions which can lead to bad things living in your soil and killing your plant. Not to mention fungus gnats and root aphids. The plants in the picture were sprouted at the same time and cared for the same way except for watering practices. Notice the dramatic different in growth. She's plugging along but won't yield much.

In this pic you can see the yellowish color of new growth. If look closely at the area circled you can see a dull beige-brown coloration. That's a sure sign of over watering.
