scratch that. I just re read that thread after not reading it for 6 months. There is nothing informative there to me other than the ppm levels he runs. \\

Gonna stick with jacks all the way through. SB, can you help me figure out how to get to a 2-1-2 ratio with the jacks?

Probably gonna add drip clean as well..

Changed the water today closer to a 3-1-4-2-1 ratio @ 1.8 EC as follows:

N: 136
P: 46
K: 190
Ca: 107
Mg: 68

Going to add some more RO (as soon as I can... really need better than 150 gal/day RO filter) to bring the EC down to 1.5ish, because I think this is a little too hot for RDWC. The plants were showing a Ca deficiency, and I am thinking that they need at least 100ppm of Ca to get them through the week right now).

I am pretty sure I am about to take the plunge in to partially mixing my own salts, because the Jacks leaves my plants thirsty for Ca, and the only way to get that up without affecting my NP or K is to start adding things like CaCl2 or straight Ca ETDA...

If this is over your head, here is some reading material:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=191007&page=23 (given to me by Desert squirrel)

and

(given to me by snowblind)

Both reads are truly enlightening.

The plants are pretty gnarly other than a little Ca def... Growing a lot, but I think I will get lucky and have just enough space for them. Realized my CO2 monitor wasnt working anymore (hasnt been workign for a week I assume), and changed it out. Now the plants are getting 1350ppm of co2. It was probably a good thing that they didnt get that extra co2 all week, becasue I am sure they would have already been hitting the ceiling.

Thanks JS.

I am pretty sure the plants are just about done stretching. They are 5-6 ft tall, and 4-5 ft. wide.

They are very healthy. I foliared them today with 1 tsp/gal of calcium25, to add some Ca and tricontanol (not sure about that spelling right now).

The coco plants are the greenest healthiest plants now. The kosher kush has a waxy leaf too, so it is shiny and deep green. The buds are forming. I spent a total of 45 hours in three weeks tending to this room. Lots of delarfing and defoliating.

Added a screen in front of the coco since the kosher is a little leggy and I thought this might help save me a bunch of yo yos.

The colombian girls are looking like they will have some 2 liter bottle sized nuggets for sure.:banana1sv6:

Its literally wall to wall dank in there. I feel like a kid again and sometimes find myself havin a giggle fit as I duck under the canopy and pop up again only to be surrounded by greenery...

the picture with the trunk shows a 3/4" threaded coupling for comparison.

SIDE NOTE: HOT SHOT PEST STRIPS DON'T WORK FOR ME. THE GNATS I HAVE BASK IN IT, and mites aren't phased by them either.

Plants are looking large and in charge! I like the coco on the side with the cage. How long have you been using the tricontanol? I have not tried that one. Looks like a plant hormone. What's the story?

Yesterday was my first time using it..

It seems like this is going in to just about every "miracle product" for plants these days. They just dont tell you its in there. They claim K boost, or P boost... but really its this.

Basically a natural PGR (non cancer causing).

Yosemite Sam over at ICMAG says from experience that he believes spraying the calcium25 (which in the patent states that it has triacontanol, but definitely not on the packaging), has cut his yield time down a week and a half, and that he can see a difference in overall vigor the day after he foliar feeds with it. I think he sprays every week but I dont remember for sure. I know that he sprays at the end of stretch.

The coco is killing it. thanks man. First run with coco and I am glad I upped the feeding early to around 2.0 EC. The plants are way happier than they were when they were first planted.

Are you using something like this?

No cheech. This:

http://www.calcium25.com/

Unless you are talking about the food in the res, which is this:

And let me put this out there... I think this Calcium25 is my new favorite product. I sprayed all my plants with it yesterday, including some new seedlings that are about a week and a half old.

ALL the plants today looked healthier. The leaves are much thicker than normal to the touch, and they are for sure a darker green. The seedlings grew at least 10% in one light cycle and look way happy. The leaves that looked like they had a Ca deficiency on my MPB plants were coming off easily before when I pulled them, and today they were not.

I'm sold. Dont need a side by side to see that it works.

Live and DIRECT.

Spoke to a cool old lady. Think she is an owner. Got it within a week. Told her it was for my garden at home nad just needed a little. I think it is enough to treat like 400 gallons.

400 gal of foliar? Wowee! That is quite the supply. What did that amount run you?

it was 54 bucks. Not 4 lbs. You want the small can. I think it may be around a pound. 1 tsp/gal is all you need. Ill double check later how many uses you get, but I could have sworn it said to make 400 gallons, dump the whole can in. This is more for large production farmers, but you can break it down to 1 tsp, instead of the whole can.

Call em up. The lady is cool she will give you the run down on your veggie garden.

Shit looking crazy good.

Im getting my damn water tested. I believe the norcal water I have has a little Ca that leaves me right where I need to be.

I need to re-read this thread. Did you increase the CaNo3 at all for the Ca deficit? I want to try this foliar now shit! Are the Ca problems a little better yet?

SB the 1.8 grams of CaNO3 was not enough. Bumped it up. Getting better results with less hydro amd more cal nitrate. Last res was 2.9 hydro and 2.25 cal nitrate at around 2.2 EC. Want to boost with k around week 5 I think.

Also, I got sulfuric acid for ph down. My P has not been above 49.
